The Treasured Gem

February 2, 2014 | By | No Comments

When you dig for treasure and you uncover a gem of priceless worth, your heart leaps, you smile with joy and you want to tell everyone about your discovery. That is how I feel about Psalm 72. It is a Messianic Psalm written by King Solomon concerning the glory and reign of the future Son of God. Over nine hundred years will pass before Jesus is born. At least two thousand more years will fade away, yet this Psalm speaks of Jesus and of the time He will reign over the nations of the earth. God never ceases to amaze me in the mystery of His revelation and salvation in Christ Jesus. Read More

Victory Over My Flesh

January 28, 2014 | By | No Comments

As I study the Psalms, one of the strongest truths of the Bible becomes evident: Our flesh longs to be satisfied. It rebels against the rule of God. Our heart is corrupt and will manipulate, deceive, and lie to get its way. It will even use God and religion to disguise its intentions. In the Name of God much evil has been done. Read More

Two Life Impacting Experiences

January 24, 2014 | By | No Comments

Last night at Ezra International I experienced two life impacting moments. The first was the music and testimony of Sergui Popov. He preached with his violin the most beautiful sounds of God. He is a concert violinist, who under communist USSR was one of their star performers. Read More

WILL YOU DIE FOR ME?

January 23, 2014 | By | No Comments

One of the issues Peter feels he does not have a problem with Jesus and His vision for his life is loyalty. “I will die for you.” Yet, Jesus tells him he will deny Him three times before the cock crows. Peter must have been devastated by Jesus’ gripping insight into his heart. So, when Jesus is arrested, he grabs a sword to defend Him and cuts off the high priest’s slave’s ear. Jesus steps in and restores the man’s ear. Then all flee Jesus, even Peter. Read More

Promise, Fulfilled, Celebration

December 19, 2013 | By | No Comments

When I think of Jesus’ Advent, His birth and His Second Coming, three Biblical truths come to my mind this morning. First, that God PROMISED to send a Savior, a Redeemer, a Deliverer, an Anointed One, Who would save us from our sins, Who would reveal the One true God, and Who would restore and exceed the human race’s place in perfect paradise with God forever. These covenant promises begin in Genesis 3 and are the scarlet thread woven throughout the Word all the way through Revelation. These prophecies are absolute evidence of the authenticity of Jesus, His identity and guarantee of our salvation. Read More

A Prophetic Word for Christmas

December 14, 2013 | By | No Comments

What many believers do not connect with the Christmas Season is that it concerns the return of Jesus Christ, which is what Advent means, the coming of Christ. This applies to His first and second comings. Beverly and I have both received a prophetic word concerning Jesus’ return, Israel, the Middle east and the world.  Read More

The Supernatural Season

December 9, 2013 | By | No Comments

I am always fascinated when I read and meditate on the story of Jesus’ birth. It is an humble tale full of the supernatural. When you read the Gospel of Matthew’s account you are told of numerous prophesies fulfilled, angels, the work of the Holy Spirit, dreams and visions, God giving us victory over our sins, the spiritual kingdom of God breaking forth into our world, and what I love best, Immanuel, God with us.
